Krumpin: BNF pays $30 to leave the basement by the side door
The $30 emergency room
FAKE NEWS AP — BNF is 0–5 and paid $30 for Dameon Pierce. DGAD had $17 on the table, My Team Sucks! offered $7, and GolfNut slid in a dollar. This was not a solitary panic purchase; it was a crowded waiting room with BNF paying for the private entrance. Pierce is already in BNF’s Week 6 starting lineup. The bill is real. The payoff is still theoretical.

Haters Gonna Hate, the 5–0 outfit, found six offers for Germie Bernard and took him for $7. Ball Don’t Lie was at $6; Dat’s It $5; Ghost of Twomp and DGAD $3 each; EzMoney $2. That is competition, not an overpay. King James spent $3 on the Chiefs defense, barely clearing Ghost of Twomp’s $2 and DGAD’s $0. My Team Sucks! took DeMario Douglas at $5 over GolfNut’s $4. A dollar is not a crime; the paperwork is still worth showing.

At the zero-dollar desk, DGAD got Tyler Bass on waiver priority over Ball Don’t Lie’s equal offer. Ball Don’t Lie got the Rams defense for $0; King James also filed $0, but that claim was invalid after a prior transaction, not beaten by a better bid. The offer record matters more than the victory lap.

Seven doors into Week 6
These are pregame Yahoo matchup projections, not scores or a promise from the football gods. Every game is still at 0–0.
- King James vs 4th and INCHES: 137.62 to 137.10 projected. A half-point knife edge before Sam Darnold’s Thursday start for 4th and INCHES. King James is paying for a Chiefs defense; there is no room to pretend the defense didn’t matter.
- Ball Don’t Lie vs My Team Sucks!: 107.75 to 138.93 projected. Ball Don’t Lie has empty TE and DEF starting slots on the digest snapshot. That Rams claim would look better with the defense actually in the lineup.
- BNF vs EzMoney: 114.61 to 122.71 projected. BNF’s Pierce buy has an immediate opponent. At 0–5, there is no decorative portion of the schedule.
- Dat’s It vs DGAD: 122.99 to 112.07 projected. DGAD’s defense slot is empty in the snapshot; the $0 Colts claim is not yet on that starting sheet.
- Ghost of Twomp vs Haters Gonna Hate: 110.08 to 137.15 projected. The unbeaten club won Bernard’s bidding scrum, while Twomp gets Thursday points from J.K. Dobbins and Courtland Sutton before the Sunday argument starts.
- GolfNut vs Dan’s Deepball: 136.87 to 70.33 projected. Dan’s starting sheet shows Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Chris Bell with no kickoff listed. That projection is a lineup warning, not a forecast carved in stone.
- Tony’s Terrific Team vs Kittle Corn: 118.97 to 130.42 projected. Tony’s 1–4 team made two free-agent pickups after waivers, including a kicker. Kittle Corn’s stronger pregame number still needs eleven actual starters to cash it.
The waiver wire did its part. Now the managers have to put the purchases in the right boxes.
