NorCal-Aussie Week 2 Sunday feature card: Sunday Best was not a metaphor
Sunday Best Phong put 166.10 on the family table and declined to pass the mercy.

The family table survived Sunday, but not without somebody flipping the scoreboard. Sunday Best Phong reached 166.10 with Blake Corum still available Monday. Lathrop Raptors received 26 from the Panthers defense. Ninja Turtles got 40.82 from Josh Allen on Thursday and still spent Sunday watching the lead disappear.

NorCal-Aussie Week 2 Sunday live and projected matchup scoreboard
Black is live. The gold tick is Yahoo’s live projection. Monday decides what Sunday left open.

Ninja Turtles 135.84, Sunday Best Phong 166.10

Ninja Turtles is done at 135.84. Sunday Best Phong already has 166.10 and still carries Blake Corum into Monday. Patrick Mahomes, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba combined for 97.68. The Turtles opened with Josh Allen’s 40.82 and somehow ended Sunday needing the table cleared and the subject changed.

Baldy 96.36, Lathrop Raptors 144.38

Baldy has Malik Nabers remaining and Yahoo projects 114.32. Lathrop is finished at 144.38 after the Panthers defense scored 26 and Drew Lock added 21.40. Nabers needs 48.03 to move Baldy ahead. That is technically a path, in the same way the Pacific Ocean is technically a route to Sydney.

Byrobowl II 128.18, RedPanda 106.58

This is Monday’s real family argument. Byrobowl II has Matthew Stafford. RedPanda has Jaxson Dart, Harrison Mevis and the Rams defense. Yahoo projects 145.63 to 139.10 for Byrobowl, but three remaining pieces against one make the current 21.60-point gap less comfortable than it looks.

Shough Me the Money 118.52, The Substation 123.56

Shough Me the Money needs 5.05 from Cam Skattebo to move ahead. The Substation is out of players at 123.56 after a lineup with only one score above 20. This is the clean Monday sweat: one rookie running back, one small gap and an entire evening available for unnecessary messages.

The Gamblers Remorse 107.42, Block Party Ray 73.38

The Gamblers Remorse brings Davante Adams to Monday. Block Party Ray counters with Puka Nacua while trailing by 34.04. Yahoo projects 118.00 to 83.22. Puka is capable of turning a matchup into a hostage negotiation, but asking him to erase the whole deficit while Adams adds points on the other side is ambitious even by this team name’s standards.

Wheat Hill Weasels 128.98, Scrublys Scrapyard 142.54

The father-and-son matchup reaches Monday with Scrublys ahead by 13.56. Wheat Hill has Isaiah Likely; Scrublys has Kyren Williams. Yahoo projects 156.62 for Scrublys and 138.10 for the Weasels. The son has the lead, the stronger remaining player and the projection. The father retains the ancient family right to claim the scoring settings are suspicious.

Sunday’s injury tax

Shough Me the Money’s 14.74 from Jayden Daniels ended with a dislocated left elbow. Postgame X-rays showed no fracture, but further testing remains. The Gamblers Remorse somehow turned one lineup into an urgent-care waiting room: Caleb Williams scored 8.72 before a hamstring injury, Alec Pierce managed 1.60 before a heel injury, and Jadarian Price stopped at 4.50 with a chest injury. Pierce and Price had negative X-rays, which is useful medical news and absolutely useless to a fantasy total already locked in.

Sunday Best Phong’s 166.10 came despite Mike Evans leaving with a hip injury after 6.90 and Dallas Goedert exiting with a knee injury after 0.90. Block Party Ray received 2.50 from Saquon Barkley around a first-half stinger; Barkley returned after halftime but said an MRI was coming. Jayden Reed was safely benched by Wheat Hill Weasels, but the neck injury that ended his game on a stretcher still matters beyond this week; Green Bay reported movement in his extremities and kept him in New Jersey overnight. These are injuries, not lineup crimes. The grief belongs to the scoreboard, not the players.

Transactions since Friday

  • Block Party Ray won Denzel Boston for $3 and Kenny Gainwell for $6, dropping Jalen Nailor and Jauan Jennings, then added Chris Rodriguez Jr. for Emmett Johnson.
  • RedPanda added Rashod Bateman for Chig Okonkwo and replaced Rashid Shaheed with Geno Smith.
  • Shough Me the Money added Kenyon Sadiq and sent Zach Charbonnet to waivers.
  • Baldy added Kendrick Bourne.

Block Party Ray supplied the weekend’s $9 shopping spree. The rest of the family kept the aisle orderly and the receipts short.

Skip’s Sunday ruling

Sunday Best Phong owns Sunday. Monday’s useful drama lives in Byrobowl–RedPanda and Shough–Substation. Everything remains unofficial until Yahoo says otherwise, but several matchups have reached the stage where the projected loser needs both a performance and a small administrative miracle.
