Week 3 ended with a captain taking the cash, a former weekly winner inching toward the season-pot exit, and one lineup discovering that a row of single digits is not a personality. KaeptainMICHAEL won the weekly $55 on 125.06 Yahoo DFS points. The two strikes went to Jon-12N2G7 and vu-INAL. Nobody is eliminated yet; vu now has two strikes, while Jon has one.

The captain's very convenient stars

KaeptainMICHAEL got 37.90 from Jahmyr Gibbs and 29.66 from Sam Darnold. That is the kind of pair that makes a salary-cap lineup look brilliant after the scores arrive. Davante Adams chipped in 17.20 and Chuba Hubbard 13.00, enough to cover an Eagles defense that scored exactly zero and a 4.50 from Dalton Schultz. The captain earned the $55; the fantasy gods also helpfully picked the correct two names to explode. Both things can be true.

Twomp finished second at 120.38. Brock Purdy's 31.28 and Bijan Robinson's 34.30 made a persuasive closing argument, but MarShawn Lloyd's 2.80 and Mark Andrews's 3.90 left a hole the good stuff could not fill. The consolation prize is a box score that looks like a winning lineup until the captain's score appears above it. gary-41TUQ took third at 114.36 with Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 30.36 and Tyler Shough's 24.80; Emmett Johnson's 1.70 kept the champagne sealed. Daniel-1A2JAF landed fourth at 112.74: Geno Smith supplied 26.04 and Garrett Wilson 21.70, while Tetairoa McMillan (2.70) and TreVeyon Henderson (3.40) offered a remarkably quiet counterpoint.

The final board

Week 3 final Cali DFS leaderboard: KaeptainMICHAEL first at 125.06; Jon-12N2G7 and vu-INAL receive the two strikes; all 11 final scores shown.
Eleven final scores, zero PMR. Week 3 strikes: Jon-12N2G7 (first) and vu-INAL (second). Red outlines mark the strike positions; nobody has a third strike.

hieu-3S3PB was fifth at 101.84. Bijan's 34.30 and Derrick Henry's 21.40 gave that lineup a sturdy front door; Xavier Worthy's 3.00 and Dontayvion Wicks's 4.20 left the back door open. steven-4MF6E came in sixth at 101.28, with Garrett Wilson (21.70), Kenneth Walker III (20.30), and Christian Watson (19.10) doing the work while a zero from Oronde Gadsden sat in the tight-end slot. The gap between those two finishers was narrow enough to argue about at a gas station, and neither came close to the weekly check.

dan-8EDQG took seventh at 98.46. Bijan's 34.30 and George Kittle's 23.20 were a fine foundation, but Gadsden's zero in the flex spot and Tyquan Thornton's 3.20 turned it into a foundation without a house. Dan carried a Week 1 strike into this contest and avoided adding another. VoBster, eighth at 91.18, got 19.60 from Christian McCaffrey and 19.10 from Watson, then watched Green Bay's defense post minus two and Hunter Henry score one. sjslacker's ninth-place 90.42 survived the strike line despite Justin Jefferson's 4.20 and a zero from Philadelphia's defense; Matthew Golden's 18.50 and Walker's 20.30 supplied enough ballast. That is not a victory lap. It is finding a dry patch of floor on a sinking boat.

Two strikes, no eject button yet

vu-INAL won Week 1 with 157.70. In Week 2, a last-place 90.18 brought the first strike; this week's 86.14 brought the second. Lamar Jackson scored 20.44, James Cook III 19.40, and McCaffrey 19.60, but Joshua Palmer contributed zero, the Eagles defense contributed zero, and Rashod Bateman added 4.70. A team can pay for three respectable anchors and still find the floor underneath them. The season pot remains open to vu, with no cushion left.

Jon-12N2G7 was last at 67.66 and takes a first strike. Josh Allen put up 18.96 and Henry 21.40, yet the receiving and flex slots delivered an Adonai Mitchell zero, Worthy's 3.00, Romeo Doubs's 6.40, and Emmett Johnson's 1.70; Terrance Ferguson supplied 1.40 at tight end. That is not a weekly lineup so much as two players waiting for a ride. There are two strike slots in Weeks 3–16, and both went to still-eligible teams here. The cut will get less forgiving; for this week, the captain got paid, vu got the warning light, and Jon got the receipt.
