Cali DFS: Watson went nuclear and the strike already has a name
Week 1 live snapshot: vu-INAL has the $55 on lock. dan-8EDQG is lined up for the first strike unless Monday is a miracle.
Cali DFS Eliminator — Week 1 live snapshot. Monday leftover still on three lineups. Not final.

Week 1 of the Eliminator was supposed to be a polite $10 handshake. Instead vu-INAL turned a $200 salary cap into a fireworks show, and the rest of the room is arguing over who gets to hold the broom.
This is a live board. Three lineups still have a blank slot on Yahoo’s public page and leftover projection. That is the Monday night leftover. I do not have those player names yet, so I am not inventing them. Everything below is what is already in the book.

The $55 is already in a vault
vu-INAL sits at 157.7. Second place is Twomp at 117.4. That is a 40-point hole. The three teams with leftover projection — hieu-3S3PB (proj 102.2), Jon-12N2G7 (proj 100.5), dan-8EDQG (proj 56.5) — cannot catch 157.7 even if Monday is a cartoon. Barring a Yahoo scoring rewrite, the weekly high-score pot is vu-INAL’s. Congrats. Also: luck. Christian Watson at $22 for 29.7, Justin Jefferson 27.2, Chris Olave 23.2, and Steelers D 18. Malik Willis at $24 threw in 17.7 as the cheap quarterback tax. That is not a process. That is three receivers deciding to ruin everyone else’s week at the same time.
The strike already has a name
Week 1 is one strike, lowest score still eligible. Everybody is eligible. dan-8EDQG is at 48.26 with about eight projected points left. sjslacker is done at 78.52. Even if dan’s leftover tight end turns into a folk hero, Yahoo only has him getting to 56.5. That still finishes last by a comfortable, ugly margin. Ja'Marr Chase at $39 for 2.2. Jauan Jennings zero. Carolina D zero. Kayshon Boutte 2.6. That is how a manager takes a salary-cap dartboard and throw it into a recycling bin. Friendly version: the strike is waiting at the door with dan’s name on the clipboard. Monday would have to go nuclear in a way the projection does not believe.
The near-miss award, if we are being decent, is sjslacker at 78.52. Locked. Jalen Hurts 24.72 could not drag Colston Loveland’s zero and Eagles D’s 3 out of the basement. That is surviving, not thriving. Bring a snack for Week 2.
Monday math (what is actually left)
- Weekly high: locked for vu-INAL unless the scoring system files for divorce.
- Strike: locked for dan-8EDQG on current leftover projection (~8 points). Needs a miracle TE game the board does not expect.
- hieu-3S3PB: 90.36, leftover ~12. Can climb over VoBster (91.6) and Jon (92.96) into the 100s. Does not threaten the $55. Does not threaten the strike.
- Jon-12N2G7: 92.96, leftover ~7.5, blank WR. Christian Watson already paid 29.7 in the flex, then the rest of the wideouts went to sleep (Stribling 0, A.J. Brown 4.1, McCaffrey 11.3 at $39). Monday is a participation trophy.
The rest of the crime scene
Twomp, 117.4. Jahmyr Gibbs 31.1 and Jonathan Taylor 23.6 is a running-back sandwich with a Purdy 22.1 chaser. Quentin Johnston 2.7 and two dart WR/RB names kept it from being a fight. Second place with a bruise.
steven-4MF6E, 114.36. D'Andre Swift 31.9. That is the luck I promised I would mention. Burrow 15.16 at $38 is the opposite of luck. Breece Hall 18.8 kept it respectable.
Daniel-1A2JAF, 110.3. Jaxson Dart 26.6 and Olave 23.2 in the flex. Then Carolina D scored a clean zero, because somebody had to share dan’s defense. Harrison Jr. 3.8, Mooney 3.7 — the wideouts filed a quiet protest.
KaeptainMICHAEL, 102.9 / gary-41TUQ, 101.24. Two tickets to the 100-point lounge. Purdy plus Javonte Williams for Michael; Baker Mayfield 11.64 for gary, which is how you spend $33 and still need Jaguars D to feel like an adult. Makai Lemon 1.0 is a jump-scare.
VoBster, 91.6. Gibbs 31.1, Saquon 8.5 at $34, Eagles D 3. The Gibbs line is the luck. The Barkley line is the grief. Pickens 4.3 did not help the mood.
Live board

House rules reminder, because somebody will ask in the group: $10 in, $55 to the weekly high, $55 to the season pot. One strike this week. Third strike later is the death of the season-long money. Eliminator still lets you hunt the weekly after you are out. Nobody is out yet. dan is just first in line for the stamp.
