Kittle Corn proposed. King James accepted. The league has no cooling-off period, so the bodies moved before anyone could start a group-chat deposition.

**To Kittle Corn:** Carnell Tate, Malik Washington
**To King James:** Tony Pollard, Kayshon Boutte

Read that again in Superflex, 0.2 PPR, first downs paying. One side sent a running back who gets paid for first downs. The other side sent two wide receivers who live on the weather and the quarterback’s mood.

## What Kittle Corn thinks it is doing

This club spent the auction building a running-back sandwich, then watched Week 1 finish 11th even with Jahmyr Gibbs and Kenneth Walker going nuclear. The WR room was a crime scene. So they flipped Pollard and Boutte for Tate and Washington — two more lottery tickets for a roster that already has Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, J.K. Dobbins, and Brian Robinson in the building. Tate is in the W/T. Washington is on the bench with Justin Fields and a quarterback support group. That is not “we solved wide receiver.” That is “we hit refresh on dartboards.”

## What King James actually got

King James is 1-0\. Jalen Hurts and Dak are still there. Saquon is still there. Puka and Nabers are still there. Pollard slides into the flex. Boutte goes to the bench. The QB room did not move. The only football player in this deal with a defined job on early downs is now on the 1-0 club. Contender buys a second back. The 11th-place club buys vibes.

## The call

King James won the trade. Pollard’s floor in this scoring is a first-down machine; Tate and Washington are hope with depth charts attached. If Tate becomes a full-time Bengals problem, Kittle Corn can brag in December. Until then this is the RB-rich team paying a win-now tax it cannot afford, and the Superflex adult in the room collecting a back without giving up a quarterback. Grade: King James A-minus. Kittle Corn: the sandwich has lettuce now. Lettuce is not a wide receiver.
