Week 5 final: Byrobowl scores 189.88, Shough wins with the third-lowest total, and Wheat Hill brings a 214.54-point casserole nobody requested.

I need two different kinds of applause for the two 5-0 teams. Byrobowl || earned the full standing ovation: 189.88 this week and 854.18 season points. Shough Me the Money gets the polite family-table clap reserved for somebody who has explained a board game incorrectly and still won. A 108.50 total was tenth out of twelve, the third-lowest score, and it still counted. Both streaks are W5\. Only one résumé should be laminated.

Wheat Hill Weasels actually led the week at 214.54, followed by Byrobowl and Ninja Turtles at 170.56\. All three won. Block Party Ray scored sixth and lost; True Quarterback scored eighth and lost while the tenth-place scorer escaped. Head-to-head does not promise a merit scholarship. It promises one opponent, sometimes wrapped in an extremely generous gift bag. Baldy finally won, too. The league can stop printing the emergency sympathy menu.

## Ninja Turtles (Joe) 170.56, True Quarterback 140.16

Ninja Turtles has won two straight after opening 0-3\. Drake Maye scored 39.46, Jaylen Warren 33.80 and Josh Allen 31.50, which is enough star power to make the smaller entries look like supporting credits. Brock Bowers added 19.00\. There was bench help available, including J.K. Dobbins' 14.40, but this was not a lineup desperately hunting a rescue. True Quarterback had Jordan Love's 25.28, Garrett Wilson's 19.90 and Davante Adams' 19.60, then received 3.18 from Tyson Bagent. The team name made a strong opening statement; the second quarterback filed a brief amendment. Both teams are 2-3, but the Turtles carry W2 and True Quarterback carries L1\. Same neighborhood, different driveway mood.

## Baldy 159.74, Testing Taylor 117.16

Baldy's first victory arrived with proper identification. Bucky Irving scored 30.50, Joe Burrow 24.60 and Malik Nabers 23.60\. Rhamondre Stevenson supplied another 16.00 from the starting lineup, so the win had more than one load-bearing wall. Tyler Warren's benched 17.90 beat Jake Ferguson's 3.40, an upgrade Baldy did not need in order to celebrate. Testing Taylor followed last week's 208.66 with 117.16\. That is a very aggressive way to test the name. Jameson Williams scored 17.70 and Kyren Williams 16.60; Dak Prescott and Bo Nix did not give the quarterback slots enough lift. Baldy is 1-4, current streak W1\. Testing Taylor is 2-3, L1\. Nobody should confuse a first win with a finished rebuild, but the ribbon can finally be cut.

## Byrobowl || 189.88, Sunday Best Phong 140.32

Byrobowl is not merely surviving its schedule. Christian Watson scored 29.30, Jared Goff 28.94 and C.J. Stroud 20.94, with useful contributions spread across the rest of the lineup. Matthew Stafford's benched 27.32 is not a scandal when two quarterbacks already started. It is depth, the annoying thing a 5-0 team can afford to have. Sunday Best Phong got 22.80 from Mike Evans and 20.30 from Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but Harold Fannin Jr. supplied 0.90 and Buffalo's defense 2.00\. The afternoon was respectable until it was compared with the opponent. Phong has lost three straight after opening 2-0\. Byrobowl's 854.18 PF leads the league, and the W5 streak has actual scoring receipts behind it. This is the unbeaten team that does not need a long explanation.

## Shough Me the Money 108.50, Lathrop Raptors 107.04

Shough won by 1.46 while scoring less than nine other teams. Jayden Daniels' 32.26 and Braelon Allen's 18.10 did enough to keep Tyler Shough's 1.84 from becoming the headline. Lathrop Raptors received 25.74 from Jameis Winston and 20.50 from Derrick Henry, but Sam Darnold's 10.30 was the painful contrast to benched Malik Willis at 20.88\. That legal quarterback replacement would flip this matchup. No elaborate hindsight sculpture required: the bench held the missing points. Shough remains 5-0 with 644.48 PF, far below Byrobowl's scoring pile, while the Raptors drop to 2-3 with two straight defeats. An undefeated record is an undefeated record. It is also possible to cross the finish line with the shopping cart wobbling.

## Tuten My Own Horn 161.96, RedPanda 72.24

Tuten My Own Horn enjoyed the kind of opponent that makes every lineup decision look wise. Tyler Huntley scored 24.04, Jason Myers 23.00, Trevor Lawrence 22.74 and James Cook III 22.30\. Pat Freiermuth supplied 19.00 from W/T. That is a sturdy performance even without the opponent's assistance. RedPanda scored 72.24, last in the league, with Kyler Murray's 18.26 and Drake London's 15.30 doing most of the visible work. CeeDee Lamb scored 1.90; Geno Smith added 9.98\. Benched Samaje Perine's 14.80 could improve the lineup, not erase this gulf. Tuten reaches 3-2 and W1\. RedPanda is 1-4 and L2\. The horn may be sounded, but preferably not directly beside the scoreboard operator.

Wheat Hill brought the week's highest score and enough contributors to form a committee: Jahmyr Gibbs 35.20, Parker Washington 27.40, Isaiah Likely 26.90, Jacoby Brissett 25.78 and George Pickens 23.50\. Roman Wilson scored zero and barely interrupted the meal. Block Party Ray had Puka Nacua's 29.20, Aaron Rodgers' 22.00 and MarShawn Lloyd's 16.20, a perfectly usable total that finished sixth league-wide. The trouble was facing the one team serving 214.54\. A better tight-end choice could help the margin, not reverse the result. Wheat Hill is 3-2, W1, and third in the record-first standings. Ray is 2-3, L1\. Sometimes the lesson is not a mistake. Sometimes another roster arrives carrying a commercial oven.

## Two loves, two polite complaints

Love Byrobowl's scoring depth and the Turtles' two-week recovery. Hate RedPanda's current floor and the Raptors' loss with a viable quarterback upgrade benched. The second complaint is the useful one: a 1.46-point margin demands a closer look before the next lock. Wire advice rather than a claimed new transaction: protect the second quarterback slot first. A cheap depth option only matters when the lineup actually uses it.

Bold call: Byrobowl will remain the more convincing unbeaten team next week. That is a forecast, not a promised result. Shough has earned all five wins, but winning with the third-lowest score two weeks running is not an offensive philosophy worth engraving on a trophy. The schedule has been a very considerate dinner guest.

## Standings, streaks, and the last helping

After five head-to-head weeks, Byrobowl and Shough both show W5\. Ninja Turtles has W2; Sunday Best Phong has L3\. Wheat Hill and Tuten are the two 3-2 teams, followed by a six-team 2-3 crowd sorted by PF. Testing Taylor's 773.58 season points lead that crowd despite this week's loss. The standings graphic carries every current streak, not just the longest story in the room. Next week's test is whether the scoring leaders keep scoring and the fortunate winners stop needing a seating chart. Until then, Wheat Hill gets the big serving spoon. Shough gets another win and a napkin over the receipt.
